Standard Placement Rules
1 Switch Height (standard): 48 inches (122 cm) from floor
2 Distance from door trim: 3–4 inches (7.5–10 cm)
3 Avoid behind-swing door placement
4 Allow switch reach within room entry range: Within 12–20 inches of door edge
5 Multi-zone control near main access: Strongly Recommended
6 Bedrooms: add night switch near bed if needed
ADA Compliance Rules: When enabled, switches should be placed between 15-48 inches from the floor and within accessible reach ranges.
